Job Description 

Summary 

• SOLIC is actively interviewing current college sophomores for its summer 2027 internship 

• Summer interns will work on variety of engagements across the restructuring and investment banking service lines.  Potential assignments may include debtor and/or creditor-side mandates, such as restructuring or bankruptcy engagements or distressed M&A/ Financing transactions. 

• Summer internship candidates will be expected to demonstrate superior analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to articulate complex concepts concisely both orally and via  deliverables.    

Requirements 

• Current college sophomore (spring 2028 graduation) 

• Actively pursuing a degree in Finance and/or Accounting  

Preferred Characteristics 

• Completed course work covering finance, accounting, and valuation principles 

• Strong SAT / ACT scores 

• GPA of at least 3.70 

• Prior internship experience in a related field 

• Demonstrated interested in investment banking, restructuring, leverage finance, and/or related fields 

• Active member in clubs related to investment banking, finance, accounting, principal investing or other related financial clubs or organizations  

• Completion of investment banking prep courses (i.e., Wall Street Prep, Training the Street, etc.) 

Position Responsibilities 

• Perform industry and client research using internet searches, database subscriptions, and research reports 

• Assist in compiling, editing, and proofing client presentations 

• Support the creation and management of virtual data rooms 

• Assist in drafting and editing Confidential Information Memorandums and teasers 

• Participate in client due diligence meetings and buyer/investor presentations as requested 

• Research prospective buyers / investors for investment banking engagements and track all solicitation processes 

• Build and Develop valuation analyses and integrated financial models 

• Three statement financial projections models 

• Discounted cash flow with CapM cost of capital 

• Transaction comparables 

• Public trading comparables 

• Liquidation analysis 

• Leverage Buyouts/Recapitalization 

• Merger Models 

• Assist in development of 13-week cash flow forecasts 

• Support preparation of bankruptcy related schedules and analyses 

Salary: Pro-rated annual salary of $100,000.00
