Matthew E. Rubin

Matt Rubin is a Senior Managing Director with SOLIC Capital Advisors and provides capital restructuring solutions and operational and fiduciary management on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Mr. Rubin has led restructuring engagement teams, both in-court and out-of-court, in a broad range of industries including healthcare, hospitality services, business services, commercial and residential real estate, mortgage lending and loan related services, and financial services & hedge funds. Mr. Rubin advises clients on complex financial and operational restructuring matters with significant expertise in managing project teams focused on the day-to-day operations of distressed entities, with specific emphasis on finance and accounting, treasury and cash management, financial budgeting/reporting, and asset disposition strategies and solutions.

Prior to joining SOLIC Capital Advisors (and its predecessor, Navigant Capital Advisors), Mr. Rubin was VP of Finance at Protocol Marketing Group, responsible for corporate finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining Protocol Marketing Group, Mr. Rubin was Treasury Manager at UniversalAccess.com responsible for fixed-income investments, acquisitions, and cash management. Mr. Rubin started his career as a consultant at AON/Hewitt, responsible for financial reporting, forecasting/budgeting, and variance analysis for Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Rubin has a Masters of Business Administration from DePaul’s Kellstadt School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Kansas. Mr. Rubin is FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licensed, CIRA certified, is Certified in Distressed Business Valuations, and has held a CTP certification as a Certified Treasury Professional.
